That’s why at Ecclestone Cycle we offer a Six Month Adjustment Warranty on all new bicycles purchased from our purple shop.

Bicycles are our life. We eat, sleep, breath, live and raise our family within our bicycle shop. We are proud to support cycling and active living programs throughout Muskoka…that’s why you’ll find purple bike racks throughout the region. Life is just better on a bicycle, and we hope to spread our enthusiasm for cycling to all who enter our shop.  Our job is to inspire you to ride your bicycle!

OUR HISTORY

Peace • Love • Bicycles • Since 1996

Opening in the Spring of 1996, owner Ian Dawes built the business from scratch within the walls of a tiny white Century home he purchased at the age of 23. With little more than a tonne of determination, training from North America’s top Bicycle Mechanic school, the love of bicycles, and a can of purple paint…Ian has owned and operated Ecclestone Cycle since the very beginning.

Over the years, Ecclestone Cycle truly grew into Muskoka’s Famous Purple Bike Shop. From its humble beginnings as a one man show with only a few hundred square feet of showroom space, to having numerous staff and thousands of square feet to display bicycles and accessories, plus four mechanical bays; Ecclestone Cycle

has grown into a nationally respected bicycle shop, servicing and stocking the cycling industry’s most reputable brands.

In 1999, Ian met Allison when he sold her a bicycle…and the rest is history. Married in 2002, Allison has worked alongside Ian in running the business ever since. Their skill sets have blended well. Ian, full of ideas and mechanical know-how. Allison, the realist, organizer and paper pusher. Together they both work the showroom floor and wrench on a daily basis. Strong supporters of local racing, trail building, MORCA, and active living, Ian and Allison still manage to squeeze in time riding their own bicycles along side their two boys.
